Da er avstemminga over og vinner er kåret. Denne gangen gikk RedElf videre med to bidrag til den store avstemminga i mai.

Og her kommer et lite intervju med den stolte vinner.

1.Når startet du med digital scrapping?
Jeg begynte vel med scrapping forrige vår sånn på alvorlig. Så da blir det vel et års tid tenker jeg.

2. Hvorfor startet du å scrappe?
Jeg er veldig glad i å ta bilder, men savnet litt at bildene skulle komme til sin rett. Dessuten hadde min storesøster vært en ihuga scrapper i noen år og hun inspirerte meg og hjalp meg i gang. Og plutslig var jeg bitt av scrappe-basillen.

3. Hva som inspirerer deg?
Det som inspirerer meg er de små hverdagssituasjonene. Jeg syntes det er utrolig viktig å ta vare på gode minner og med digiscrapping får man gjort det på en flott måte.

4. Hvilken stil personen liker best?
Jeg er nok litt glad i den tøffe stilen siden jeg har en sønn på 8 år, men jeg syntes det er morsomt å prøve meg på det meste.

5. Hvem er din favoritt-designer(e)?
Jeg har tre soleklare favorittdesignere og det er Monica Larsen, Jofia Devoe og Holly.

6. Har du et favoritt-kit? I så fall, hvilket?
Jeg er nok er periode kit-fan, men de kittene jeg har likt best er Jonathan fra Monica Larsen og Portland fra Holly Designs.

7. Hva er ditt favoritt-motiv?
Motivet som gjentar seg er nok sønnen min Aron og de koselige husdyrene mine.

8. Hva er det største du har oppnådd/vunnet som scrapper?
Har faktisk aldri vært med på stort av konkurranser så det å være star scrapper i mars må vel være det største.

9. Har du andre hobbyer enn scrapping?
Er jo veldig glad i foto da. Går jo hånd i hånd med scrappingen det. Mesteparten av tiden går vel ellers med til familie, hunden og kattene mine.

10. eventuelt noe annet du vil si?
Vet ikke om dere vil ha det med, men i august i fjor åpnet jeg og søsteren min en digiscrapshop - ScrapElf. Det er en flott måte å dele det man lager på.

Ellers vil jeg bare si at jeg trives kjempegodt her på SSS. Er det noen man trenger hjelp til, et godt råd eller veiledning på noe vis er det mange som er villige til å hjelpe. SSS er mitt digi-scrap-hjem.

1. When did you first start your digital scrapping?
I started with scrapping for real last spring, so it has been about a year.
2. Why did you start with scrapping?
I love to take pictures, but I didn’t know how to show the pictures off. My sister has been a true scrapper for a couple of years, so she inspired me and helped me get started. And all of a sudden I was bitten by the bug!
3. What inspired you?
It was the everyday moments that inspired me. I think it is very important to treasure the good memories, and digiscrapping is a good way to do this.
4. What style do you like best?
I love the rough style, since I have a 8 year old son, but I also love trying out stuff.
5. Who is your favorite designer(s)?
I have three over all favorites. Monica Larsen, Jofia Devoe and Holly.
6. Do you have any favorite kits?
I love things in periods, but the kits I have liked the best is Jonathan from Monica Larsen, and Portland from Holly Designs.
7. What is your favorite motive?
The motive that is reoccurring is my son, Aron, and my cuddly housepets.
8. What are your greatest achievements?
I have never actually entered any big competitions, so it has to be Star scrapper in march.
9. Do you have any other hobbies than scrapping?
I do love photography. It’s a part of scrapping too. I use most of my time on my family, my dog and my cats.
10. Anything else you want to add?
I don’t know what you want, but last year my sister and I opened a digital scrapping shop – ScrapElf.com. It’s a great way to share what you make.
I want to add that I really love it here at SSS. If you ever need help, need advice or guidance in anyway, there is always someone who is willing to help. SSS is my digi-scrap-home.

Vi starter en ny challenge her på bloggen.
Alle oppgavene som kommer har noe med stjerner å gjøre. Oppgavene skal forhåpentligvis være inspirerende og kreve litt ”tanke bak LOen”. Kanskje dette er en mulighet til å scrappe bilder av seg selv og andre, og kanskje ikke bare av barna? Selv om det selvfølgelig er lov å bruke bilder av de søte små også da

Det vil forgå på følgende måte:
Det vil være 3 oppgaver hver måned.
Hver fredag kommer en ny oppgave ut på bloggen. Dere har frist til fredagen etter med å legge ut i galleriet og linke opp til bloggen. Fra fredag til søndag er det avstemming og de to med flest stemmer går videre til månedsavstemmingen. Den siste uka går med til storavstemmingen.

I mai vil Star Challenge være over, og en STAR SCRAPPER vil bli kåret.

We are now starting a hole new challenge here in the Blog. All the assignments will have stars in them. The assignments will hopefully be inspiring and need a little thought to finish. Why not use this assignments to make a LO of you or someone you know, other than your kids? You are allowed to use pictures of your kids if you want to. The challenge will work as following: There will be 3 assignments each month. A new assignment will be posted in the blog every Friday. You have until next Friday to finish the assignment, post it in the gallery and link it up to our blog. Voting will be go on from Friday to Sunday, and the two with the most votes will go on to the monthly voting. The last week is set aside for the ‘grand’voting. In may the challenge will be over, and a STAR SCRAPPER will be announced.

ScrapScandiStyle - hvor er vi blitt av

Mange av oss oppdager til stadighet at vårt kjære hjem ScrapScandiStyle er nede.
Kvelden blir liksom ikke helt som forventet når vi stadig vekk møter meldinger om Database Error eller Page not found.

Men fortvil ikke - om svært kort tid så får vi oss et nytt hjem. Et som vil romme både gammelt og nytt.

Mens vi venter så har vi i ScrapScandiStyle administrasjonen bestemt oss for å gi dere en liten fotokonkurranse.
Denne konkuransen vil være et månedlig tiltak - og premien vil vi avsløre straks.

Men i alle fall - oppgaven kommer til å være av samme art hver måned.
Ta et bilde av stedet der du bor- aller helst av vakker natur - det fineste stedet du vet om på hjemstedet ditt. Størrelsen på bidraget ditt skal være som følger: bredde - 600pxl høyde 250 pxl.
Både kvalitet, motiv, lyssetting og lignende vil være med å avgjøre om kanskje DITT bilde blir tidenes første SSS-motiv.

Let me kindly introduce our great designer Princess Sophie. She has so many beautiful designs in our store, and she wrote a little something about herself this week so we all can get to know her a little bit better. Be sure to check further down for great PS-layouts and a little goodie for you all. Here are some of my favorite products from Princess Sophie, and she is have a ONE DAY SALE WITH 25% OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little about me:
My name is Anita aka Princess Sophie, and I am a mom to two boys, age 6 and 8, I have a great boyfriend and a crazy cat. I do have a part time job as a graphical layout designer at a local newspaper where I live. And I have a degree in graphical design so I have been using Photo Shop since the dark ages. I have been digi scrapping since 2005. I started to design a while back but what I made then was simply not good enough so I took a long break. In that period I renovated my home, lost my grandmother and I lost my mojo, so my way back to designing was long and hard.Just before x-mas last year I decided to totally revamp my store, my style, my design name and my attitude toward the quality level of my designs. So far it has worked out much better then I ever could have imagined.

What my life is like:
My day starts at 6 am, I wake up with a smile on my face, I know my boyfriend loves me even if he has seen what I look like in the morning hehe. I get my kids ready for school which starts at 8 am. After that I go to the supermarket to buy our groseries.
When I come home I try to tidy up after my messy kids that includes my boyfriend and the crazy cat! LOL.
I get my coffee ready, need at least one whole pot a day to think clearly! Then I have my computer time, that’s when I set my creative mastermind into a high gear. Duh! Yeah right! LOL Most of the time I just read my e-mails, and answer forum post and every now and then I put some designs together.
I actually have my creative high point at the very end of the day, when the house is all dark, the kids is sound asleep, the smell of dinner is still sticking to the walls, and I can hear hubby snoring on the couch, pretending to be watching Prison Break LOL.
Every other week I work in the evenings for a local newspaper as a layout designer, I have a degree in graphical design ;)
I am lucky enough to have a workplace where I have some waiting periods during my shifts, and they actually allow me to work on my designs in PhotoShop at work! Yaaay! I love my job… And I love my life!

A little about Anita:
Anita the person is outgoing, I have a great sence of humour and that paints my world every day. I don't let things get to me, I belive in being happy and have desided that my life should contain more happy moments then stressful and sad ones. There is always something positiv in every situation, even the negative ones. You just have to look close enough.
I think this way of viewing life came to me the year I lost my mother I was only 21 at the time, she was to young to go and right then and there I desided that I will live my life to the fullest and never let my days be anything short of perfect. Life is just to short!

Digidonna September

Here are the 5 challenges for Digidonna September.

As usually you will get one technical challenge, one theme challenge, one sketch challenge, one scraplift challenge og one inspirational challenge. Every participant HAVE TO submit in each of the five tasks. You can not have more than one LO per task, that is to say that you shall submit five layouts. Your layouts will get points, from those who get most points to the one that get less points. The one who get most points totally will be this months winner . Each participant get different numbers in each task, so the vote will be anonymous. Contribution that not fill the requirement will be returned, so you can change them. This is things like the size of files, requirements and so on. Send your contributions some days before the deadline, so you get the time to change them. You have to do your best in each of the five tasks to win the months contest!

Requirement:The contributions shall be within the size limit 150 -200 kb. The width and height shall be max 600 pixels. A double layouts shall have the width of max. 800 pixels.The layouts shall not have been published before.

Challenge #1: Technique

This months technique is journaling. At least one third of the layout have to contain som kind of text. It could be a poem, song lyrics or free journaling.

Challenge #2: Theme

It is not Christmas yet, but still, the theme for this month is "I wish for..."It doesn't have to be something you want for Christmas, ut could be something you wish for in the future, like a new house, a new car, children or more children, a kitten, new kitchen, world peace - whatever. So as you can see - this task is quite open.

Challenge #3: Sketch

So... if you wondered where you were gonna get your inspirations this fall, or what to do on those long, windy, rainy nights.... well... look no more! ScrapScandiStyle.com is so proud to announce our huge project for this fall: "Happiness is..."

It´s a perfect scrapping project. A different way to do those difficult "all about me" layouts. It´s a perfect Christmas gift, and it is a perfect heritage to those who love you. Every third week you will have a new challenge, 6 of them all together. Every challenge will have a "happiness is" theme to get you started. The challenge will also have a technical requirement. This could be related to color, PS tutiorals, recepies or simular stuff. The point is to make great layouts AND learn something on the road.

AND... Of Course there will be prizes!!!! For every challenge there will be one winner for a 5$GC to our shop. Everyone who complete ALL 6 challenges will recive a 7$GC to our shop. AND......... We will pick 1 winner from all of you who completed ALL 6 challenges for a 35$ GC, Gold Membership for 2009 and maybe even some more surprises. So let´s get started girls!

Challenge #1: HAPPINESS IS.....

We start easy, and it goes like this: Happiness is.....complete this sentence.

Make a layout about what happiness is for you and complete it with the first thing that falls in you head. It has to be about you, but you can of course use picture of others than yourself. It´s all about what happiness is for you. But you need to have the sentence "happiness is (with your ending) in alpha on the layout.

Focus on fonts: You have to have a journalingpart on your layout using the journal-font from http://www.dafont.com/. You can find it here.

Upload your layout to our challenge-gallery, and link to it here. Please stop by our english area of our community if you have any questions. Can´t wait to see what you come up with. You have until September 14th to finish. First winner up will be announced September 22nd, so will the next challenge. We asked Dawn what her favorite design is these days and here is what she picked.

New Beginnings is a unique kit that will see you into the New Year … and beyond. Doodled numerals and elements in both black and white and coloured. And you can build your own clock - set your own time - and even add a cuckoo!

Here is one of my favorites: Land of Make Belive. This kit is just perfect for all of our princesses just waiting for their own pages. I just keep falling in love with her doodling over and over again. She has also promised to doodle for all of you who have princes out there, so you better keep an eye up for I am sure it´s gonna be just as great.

Hi there!

It´s time for a new challenge. I don´t know about you, but we actually have snow these days... witch is kinda unusual for my hometime in November. Anyhow... its gonna rain tomorrow but I don´t wanna forget the snow. So I want you all to scap a winterlayout. How is wintertime for you and your family? Do you like snow? Do you have summertemperature all year? It´s time to scrap your heart out and make your finest winter-layout. And we don´t mind you thinking out of the box, or if you are gonna stay traditionally. Here are the third challenge andvif you finish them all within sunday at 10PM you´ll have a chance to win some great stuff like giftsertificates to the shop, and our grand reopening collab-kit.

The challenge is to scrap a photo and make it the largest part of your layout. I know I have a few favorite photos that are so hard to scrap because I want them to be just perfect. Let's blow them up and make them really shine. So why not go through your photos and find those "favorites" that you have or maybe haven't scrapped yet, and truly make the photo your focus. So what is challenge #2 about? The everyday momentes. I am a firm beliver of scrapping all those not so happy moments. To scrap something different then happy faces, birthdays and hollidays.... First of all, thank you too all of you who are reading this. We truly appriciate it. The biggest digiscrapping-forum in Scandinavia has gotten a big make-over. We changed our name, we got some hot designers, and we got this awesome blog! At this site we will post amazing challenges with some amazing prizes! We will have featured designers and scrappers every month, maybe even two times a month. Information about new produckts will also appear here for our english users. Oh yes, it will be THE most important blog to keep track of.We can´t wait to play with you!

In the posters below you will find the schedules for this weekend, and you will see that some of the challenges are marked in red and yellow. The red ones - challenges that are to be solved within a certain time frame - and participation will be awarded with parts of our brand new SSS grand opening kit. The kit contains 30 backgrounds and over 50 elements and are divided into 8 pieces. For those of you who for some reason can not participate in some or any of these challenges - the kit will be available in the store from Monday.The yellow are challenges where you can choose how many you would like to take part in. All the contributions will be put out for a poll Sunday night, and regardless if you have sent in one or 7 - you can win - and the prize is a 35 $ gift certificate at a well known store (not SSS though )All these yellow challenges are to be sent to admin@monica-larsen.net and must be saved as jpg, size 600*600 - max 150 kb and must not have been published before. The use of templates, sketches or lifts are NOT allowed unless this in specified in the challenge.
